Features of the Golden State Mint Silver Bars

Silver Bars from the Golden State Mint are packaged individually in protective bags. However, larger orders are also available in sealed tubes of 10. These silver bars are minted ingots. Minted ingots are blanks (a piece of metal that is smooth with no design elements) that are put into a machine that uses thousands of pounds of pressure to stamp design elements onto the blank.

These bars display identifying marks of the bar on the obverse. From top to bottom, this includes the name of the mint (Golden State Mint) the metal content, purity, and an ISO 9001 designation mark.

The reverse of each bar showcases a repeating pattern of the name of the mint. Each bar has a purity of .999 pure silver.

    Aztec Calendar Silver Bar

The Golden State Mint has a more numismatic option for collectors and investors in the form of their Aztec Calendar Silver Bar.

This 5 oz bar is made from .999 pure silver and shows the Aztec Calendar on the reverse, along with the effigy of Cuauhtemoc on the obverse.

Bars can be purchased individually, in tubes of 10, or boxes of 100.

    Sizes Available at BGASC

Minted ingots are typically made in smaller sizes. While it’s not uncommon to see minted ingots in larger sizes such as 1 kilo or greater, most minted ingots are in smaller Troy oz sizes. At BGASC, we have Golden State Mint Silver Bars in the following weights:

    • 1 Troy oz
    • 5 Troy oz
    • 10 Troy oz
