Obverse

The obverse side of the Colorized Scottsdale Georgia State Flag Silver Bar displays the Scottsdale Lion emblem, along with the Scottsdale Mint name on the left and important hallmarks above. This includes the weight, metal content, and purity of the bar.

Reverse

On the reverse side of 1 oz Colorized Georgia State Flag Silver Bars, the Georgia state flag is depicted. The design draws inspiration from the first national flag of the Confederacy, known as the “Stars and Bars,” and includes the state’s coat of arms. The flag’s 13 stars honor Georgia as one of the original 13 colonies.

History

Georgia’s state flag has a complex and controversial history. From 1956 to 2001, the state flag prominently featured the Confederate battle flag, which was a source of ongoing debate and tension. In 2001, the flag was changed to a blue field with the state seal and a banner showing five historical flags that had flown over Georgia. However, this design was unpopular and short-lived.
