The Nativity in Bethlehem, as told in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, reveals the story of Jesus Christ’s birth. According to these scriptures, Mary and Joseph journeyed from Nazareth to Bethlehem for a census, finding no room at the inn. Jesus was born in a humble stable, wrapped in swaddling clothes, and laid in a manger. This timeless narrative has touched the hearts of Christians for over two thousand years, representing hope, humility, and divine love. Right now, 1 oz Scottsdale Bethlehem Nativity Silver Rounds are available at BGASC.

The well-known Scottsdale Lion, depicted as a front-facing crowned lion head, occupies the center of the design, surrounded by wreath boughs. The background features delicate snowflakes, enhancing the seasonal theme.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 1 oz Bethlehem Nativity Silver Round, youll find a thoughtful depiction of the classic Nativity scene. The background includes various barn animals, beautifully illustrating this sacred moment.
History
The imagery of the Nativity scene, also known as a crche, has become a cherished symbol of Christmas around the world. Popularized by St. Francis of Assisi in the 13th century, these displays often include figurines of Mary, Joseph, the infant Jesus, shepherds, animals, and the three Wise Men. The Nativity serves as a visual reminder of the religious roots of Christmas, encouraging believers to reflect on the significance of Christ’s birth in an increasingly commercialized holiday season.
