Each of these 2025 2 oz Proof Australian Silver Kangaroo Coins is shipped in a display case with a clear acrylic lid. These coins feature a reverse-gilded design with 24-karat gold in the background, leaving the portrait and kangaroos in silver.

Obverse

On the obverse of the coin is a portrait of King Charles III. Created by Dan Thorne, this is the first official depiction of the King used on Australian coinage. The design shows the King facing left, without a crown.

Reverse

The reverse design shows two kangaroos resting in an arid part of the Australian landscape. Kangaroos often limit their activity during the hottest times of day and seek shelter to conserve energy and avoid overheating.

History

Kangaroos are found throughout Australia and are one of the countrys most recognizable animals. They can live in a variety of conditions, including deserts, grasslands, and forested areas. The red kangaroo is the largest species and is well-suited to life in the hot, dry Outback.
