The Pre-33 Gold Quarter Eagle was the smallest denomination in the US Eagle Series and one of the most compact gold coins issued by the United States Mint. The final version of the series, the Indian Quarter Eagle, introduced the nations first-ever incuse design, giving the coin a unique recessed relief. Obverse
On the obverse of the $2.50 Indian Gold Quarter Eagle, a left-profile bust of an indigenous figure is depicted. Designed by Bela Lyon Pratt, this design was also used for the $5 Indian Gold Half Eagle and features a detailed feathered headdress on the figure.
Reverse
The reverse of the $2.50 Indian Gold Quarter Eagle showcases an American bald eagle resting on a sheaf of arrows, with an olive branch entwined around them. This was another design by Pratt, and it was shared with the Half Eagle of the same series.
History
The Indian Quarter Eagle was produced over 13 different years, with 15 total circulation issues. Two years1911 and 1914featured coins struck by both the Philadelphia and Denver Mints. In 1925, the Denver Mint was the sole producer, marking the only year that Philadelphia did not strike any coins in this series.

How Does Free Shipping Work?

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. When will my order ship?
Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Can I choose the method of shipping?
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
Will I need to sign for my package?
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
What about International Orders?
BGASC is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
