Stackables
One more unique way to invest in silver bars is stackables. Usually produced by Today Ltd, these stackables have the same design on both the obverse and reverse. The only difference is that one side is domed while the other is concaved. This allows you to stack multiples on top of one another, with ease.
Stackables are available in sorts of shapes, sizes, and variations. Some popular options include the following:
- Lunar Stackables: These stackables showcase the face of the animal that aligns with the Chinese zodiac. So far just two stackables are present in this series, the rabbit, and the dragon. Each stackable is made up of 2 Troy oz of .999 pure silver and has high-relief visuals.
- Mask Series: The mask series is an intriguing lineup of stackables that feature images of popular masks, such as the kitsune and persona masks. Every new release has three variations, silver, gilded, and dark antique.
- The Body Series: This unique series is inspired by the show Physical 100. These stackables display parts of the human body on a 2 oz stackable made from .999 pure silver.
Hand-Poured Bars
Another popular option is hand-poured silver bars. These bars are similar to cast bars but differ slightly in their appearance and how they’re made. Hand-poured bars are produced by pouring molten silver into a mold that is left exposed in one area. The silver is allowed to cool whilst in the mold. This gives each bar a hand-made look and feel. Due to how they’re made, almost every hand-poured bar will be unique.
When browsing hand-poured silver bars at BGASC, you’ll notice two popular producers of these silver bars.
- MK Barz: Established in California, MK Barz is known for their hand-poured silver bars. Their hand-poured bars usually are in intriguing shapes such as their “Sharky” Silver Bar which is in the shape of a shark.
- Monarch Metals: Founded in southern Oregon, Monarch Metals is also one of the top names in terms of hand-poured silver bars. One popular series they produce is their Tombstone series which displays popular Halloween imagery on the obverse of a tombstone-shaped hand-poured bar.
Germania Mint Gods and Goddesses
Among the newest line of silver bars from the Germania Mint are their Gods Series and Goddesses Series. These bars have a limited mintage of just 999 per release and arrive with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The obverse of each 2 oz silver bar shows a colorized rendition of the god or goddess while the reverse has identifying marks of the bar (metal content, purity, mint mark, and serial number).
Designs in the Goddesses Series include Freyja and Sigyn. Designs in the Gods Series feature Baldur.
